Rejection is a Very Good Teacher!

Rejection and failure are part of life. They are also very good teachers in themselves. Many of us do not fight merely to avoid rejection. We fear rejection a lot. Rejections at early stages of struggle are quite common. It happens to all talented people without any Godfather or money power. But as a river makes its own course, a persistent person also makes his way. Many AMIE aspirants quit AMIE even at an early stage only due to fear of rejection at a later stage. This is not a good practice.

Remember the quote by Michael Jordan. He said, " I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed."

Let us consider the life of few people who have been rejected during their period of struggle. These people changed the world when they get their big break.

Here are some of the most popular and brilliant, who did not get demoralized by a big NO.

Soichiro Honda
The man behind the company that is one of the largest manufacturers of motorbikes was once rejected by Toyota. He didn’t give up. He made motorbikes from scratch in his garage and then founded the company we all know so well today.

Amitabh Bachchan
Arguably the most recognizable voice in the country, he was once rejected by All India Radio after an audition. He didn’t give up and became one of the most famous and respected movie stars of the century.

Walt Disney
The founder of the Walt Disney, Walt was a world-renowned businessman. A news editor fired him stating that he lacked innovation and imagination. He was turned down more than 300 times, before getting aid to start Disney World.

Madonna
She was once rejected by a recording label for lacking material in the album she had submitted. She signed her first album by 1982 and there was no looking back since then.

Colonel Harland David Sanders
Colonel Harland David Sanders as he is lovingly known was rejected a whopping 1009 times before someone agreed to share and sell the fried chicken he loved making. KFC is one of the most widespread eateries around the world today. (I am pure vegetarian but I admire his persistence!)
